Samsung S23 Ultra, wouldn't know it's not new.

After many years of trusted service and heavy use, my beloved Samsung Note 10+ was on its last legs, notably its battery, plus several apps no longer working with its now obsolete version of Android. I didn't want to shell out over £1,200 for a new S26 or S25 (is there really any difference?) so looked at different sites for a S23 or S23 Ultra. It was a 50/50 between Refurbed and Backmarket, and after the latter engaged in drip pricing, I decided to go with Refurbed. They had a decent range of Samsung Galaxy S-series phones in pretty much every combination of condition, RAM and colour. I was able to find one ideal to meet my needs. It was rated as being in their 'Premium' condition and was £399. It was delivered as stated, coming in a plain unbranded box containing just the phone and a generic USB charging cable. I had already ordered a Spigen screen protector and case, so I was ready to go as soon as it was delivered. Out of the box, well it is pretty much indistinguishable from new. The screen is pristine and unmarked, as is the rest of the phone and I have yet to find any marks on the case. So, top marks to Refurbed for the accuracy of their grading conditions. On first configuration, the phone offered a software update, bringing it to the latest version of Android. I then placed it next to my Note 10+ and activated the device-to-device data transfer via the Samsung app, which took around 20 minutes and was completed seamlessly. Have to say, I'm blown away by the improvement in the phone compared to my old one, notably how much more robust it feels; the battery life (two whole days' use from a single charge); the processing speed and the much higher pixel density of the screen. For under £400 I've got myself a phone that is as new and certainly good enough for my current needs. As above, I really don't get why you would spend £1,200 or more for the incremental improvements in each newer iteration of the S series. However, that's a free market for you - if you've got the cash and want to spend it, that's fine. If you haven't or you are after more value for your money, Refurbed offers excellent phones and very attractive prices.
