Hofner Colorama II 164V Mid 60's - Description
The 1965 Hofner Colorama II 164V radiates pure vintage class with its striking Red Gloss finish and authentic German roots. This guitar breathes character and history, with a look that immediately draws attention and invites you to play. The combination of mahogany body and maple neck creates a unique look you won’t find anywhere else. This is an instrument for the enthusiast looking for something special with its own history.
This Hofner delivers a warm, full tone with a clear punch thanks to the humbuckers. The short 24.5-inch scale makes playing smooth and comfortable, while the tremolo arm adds extra expression to your playing. Although the original pickguard and two original pot knobs are missing, the guitar has been technically set up to function properly again. The mounting plate has been adjusted so the bridge can sit in the correct position for good intonation, and the switch has been resoldered so the controls now operate logically and reliably.
The guitar is in excellent condition and technically fully in order. Clear effort has been put into achieving the best possible result, with the aim of restoring functionality and making the guitar playable again.
