Paul Dietrich Archtop Guitar 1930s 1940s - Description

Very rare and beautiful all solid archtop made by Paul Dietrich. My guess it that is was made during WW2 or shortly before / after.

It is all original, plays like new and sounds amazing.

I completely restored it, the restoration included - neck reset - fixed cracks in the top - complete refret - new wiring & output jack at the endpin - bone saddle for the bridge - tuner bushings - fixed one tuner button - complete cleaning and some light polishing -setup etc

The original tuners are not great - but do their job - I wanted to leave the guitar as original as possible.

The guitar has a quite full sound despite its rather small body. Action is like on a new guitar and the neck is not a baseball bat.

The pickup was probably installed shortly after its original purchase - I believe it is an early “Melo”. It works fine and sounds good.
