Tokai Goldstar Sound MIJ S-Style Electric Guitar - Description

A very cool Tokai Goldstar Sound S-Style electric guitar made in Japan and carrying the classic Tokai headstock decal ‘Oldies but Goldies’.

This one has plenty of vintage Japanese S-Style charm, with a maple neck and fingerboard, three single-coil pickups, vintage tremolo, and a 3-ply mint/green pickguard. The pickups appear to be period Tokai-style gray-bottom single coils with stamped markings, so it has that lively, articulate ’S’ character these Japanese Tokais are known for.

The body has clearly had a life. There are various markings, knocks, wear, and signs of previous work, as shown in the photos.

What it is, however, is a very characterful Japanese Tokai player Strat with pockets of vibe, a great look, and a desirable Tokai heritage.
